Parks and Open Spaces

Newham Council looks after 22 parks, around 45 open spaces and seven allotment sites. Whether you want to go for a walk, a picnic, read a book, play sport, enjoy an event or just relax, Newham's parks are a clean, safe and green environment, with something for everyone. They are also free and open every day from dawn to dusk.

These facts were relatively unknown so Tentacle was commissioned to create a range of marketing materials to promote greater awareness and use of the parks and open spaces.

The clients budget was relatively restricted so in addition to bespoke shots of some of the parks, supplementary imagery was sourced from royalty free photo libraries to add impact and colour.

A range of simple, bespoke symbols representing the facilities available in each of the parks was created to promote the wide range of activities catered for. The symbols were arranged into an easy-to-use table of information which also featured bus route and travel link details.

Having successfully completed a general parks leaflet Tentacle were subsequently commissioned to create matching tree trail leaflets for Central Park and Stratford Park, both of which contain a wide range of noteworthy specimens.
The leaflets are great and really make the parks accessible to a much wider audience
