Tentacle designed and printed Southwark’s Local Agenda 21 Action Plan which brought together the sustainable development policies of national government and the European Union as well as local initiatives.

Sustainable development is about securing a better quality of life for everyone and for future generations. It is about creating sustainable wealth and higher living standards.

Local Agenda 21 was an important part of revitalising local democracy. Its real strength lie in bringing people together. Encouraging and enabling workers in local government and councillors going into the community and consulting. Not consultation for consultation sake but making sure that local opinions and views informed Southwark's policies and the way forward.
